Meet the boob half full team!
Sarah Stevens is an IBCLC living and working in Anchorage, Alaska. Sarah has been a certified IBCLC since 2009, but has been in breastfeeding advocacy since 2001. She’s crazy about food and the ocean. She doesn’t want to do anything different with her life, but if she did, it would still involve feeding people.
Carrie Harris is also an Anchorage- based IBCLC. She was raised in El Paso, Texas, and worships at the altar of Willie Nelson and Mexican food. Having started out as a La Leche League Leader, Carrie initially became a lactation consultant because of difficulties she had breastfeeding, and the love and bonding that this experience fostered between herself and her children. Through her work, she hopes to help other parents achieve that bond. Sarah once described Carrie to a mutual friend as “what extended breastfeeding Barbie would look like”. She has three wild breastfed boys so at this point, her favorite things are time alone, and more time alone.
Quick word about what we talk about: We think bodies are amazing. And while we’ve seen a lot of them, we haven’t seen yours. We can show you a good time, but please take that beautiful body to a breastfeeding specialist or healthcare provider to get the care you deserve. We aren’t here to give medical advice, but we can help you find some quality care in your neck of the woods in the following links:
